Toons Catapults Into the Teletoon Lineup
New animated series joins the TELETOON lineup on Saturday Mornings
(Toronto, Ontario – March 18, 2013) – Animation fans will be pleased to learn that the wildly popular and beloved Angry Birds have made their way to television screens in the new animated series Angry Birds Toons. The series, which premiered on Saturday, March 16, 2013, features 52 animated shorts and TELETOON will premiere one short every Saturday at 9:57 a.m. ET/PT.
Angry Birds Toons shows how life isn’t easy on Piggie Island for the Angry Birds. Red and his fearless feathered companions, Chuck, Matilda, Bomb, Blues and Terence, must band together to protect their eggs – and their future – from the wily plotting of the Bad Piggies. With only their wit and determination to guide them, they must overcome the Piggies’ superior technology and seemingly insurmountable numbers. But they have one great edge … the Piggies’ astounding stupidity! Angry Birds Toons brings to life the characters and adventures from one of the most beloved games in history and reveals the fun and sneaky worlds of the Birds and their nemesis Piggies.
